Dr. Joe Prendergast MD

J. Joseph Prendergast MD is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr. Prendergast graduated from Wayne State University College of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Prendergast’s current medical practice focuses on integrative medicine and his passion of disease prevention drives his quest to perfect a program of “Strategic Health”.
Dr. Joe’s exciting work with Digital Pulsewave technology, new natural health options, and education are hallmarks of his illustrious career. At age 37 Dr. Joe learned he had the arteries of an 80-year-old, and now in his 70’s has the vascular age of a teenager! Dr. Joe uses the approaches he successfully used to reverse his personal arteriole-sclerosis with his patient population at the Endocrine Metabolic Medical Center in Palo Alto California.
Dr. Prendergast is a member of more than a dozen national medical associations or societies and participates actively in state legislative task forces in addition to his multiple positions as a peer reviewer.
From early in his career, Dr. Joe focused on new approaches and techniques to better the quality of patient care which has lead to a continual publishing of medical and scientific papers in publications such as: Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Diabetes, JAMA, Archives of Internal Medicine, National Library of Medicine NIH, Diabetes Care, New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Urology, etc.
Dr. Joe’s lecture schedule is very busy. Whether it’s lecturing to fellow MD’s, or the lay public in the San Francisco Bay area or cross the country, in Asia or Europe, his wisdom and approaches to optimal patient and healthcare is being shared on a global scale.
His current research emphasizes the potential of L-Arginine to dramatically affect cardio-vascular health and the resultant expediting of nutrient transfer at the micro-circulation level with wide ranging effects from blood vessel wall stabilization to restoration of micro-blood vessels and nerve function. Wound healing is also dramatically improved as well as the general health of the entire body.
Statistically speaking, Dr. Prendergast can document a less than ½ of 1% of cardio-vascular events such as stroke or heart attack in his large high risk patient population that have followed his L-Arginine protocol over the last 17 years. This is a truly remarkable success that is without compare.
